A 10MW solar power plant in Baft, Kerman province has been connected to the national grid, according to Bargh News report.
This plant, covering an area of 20-hectares, has been designed and built by Iranian experts in private sector.
Operating of this plant, will conserve 3,060 cubic meter of water and also 3.95 Million cubic meter of natural gas annually. It also prevents to emission of 9,598 ton of environmental pollutant.
Investing by amount of IRR 600b (USD 4 million), this project has created 64 direct and indirect jobs during plant construction and operation.
Kerman province has a great potential of photovoltaic energy and so far 8 utility-scale plants with total capacity of 48.7MW and also 926 roof-mounted power plants with total capacity of 8,228 KW has been established in this province.
