Reza Ardakanian, minister of energy, said: “Total installed capacity of electric generation is more than 81,000MW in Iran”, Bargh News reports.

“Installed capacity of power generation has been increased by 2,000MW annually since 2013”, Ardakanian said in opening ceremony held for projects of MOE in power and water sector in North Khorasan province. 

He mentioned: “18,000 Km of transmission and sub-transmission lines has been constructed annually since 2013”.

He stated: “In order to environmental protection, ministry of energy has installed 3,500Km of aerial bundled cable (ABC) in North Khorasan for first time, which prevents of trees cutting and leads to black-out reduction while storms”.
